Director of Sales and Marketing

This is a new position which carries great responsibility for the future success of the company. We are looking for a talented, fearless individual who is willing to share in the risks (and rewards) of getting in on the ground-level of a first-year start-up company. The company is currently debt-free and being financed by its two co-founders as well as some of our closest school board partners.

The right person will share our cultural values and bring a proven background in education technology sales and marketing automation. As a cooperative, partially school-board owned company we will be rapidly prototyping new products; a key balance is needed between growing our market share through outside sales while also ensuring high adoption of new product initiatives through inside sales with our school board community.

  • Developing an annual sales and marketing plan
  • Surpassing quarterly sales targets
  • Setitng up our automated marketing
  • Maintaining the sales pipeline
  • Coordinating a content marketing firehose
  • Delivering regular product webinars
  • Targetted account selling to larger school boards
  • Attending trade shows
  • Guest speaking and presenting
  • Contracting and negotiations
  • Building a sales and marketing team


  • 5+ years in the education technology market
  • Experience with inside and outside sales
  • Experience with automated marketing campaigns
  • Extraordinary communication skills
  • A genuine love of people
